Professional Networking with Video - Connect with GBTC

Professional Networking through Internet Video is made possible by sites like YouTube & Blip.tv.

Professional Networking on YouTube

These sites allow users to upload video, watch other people's videos, comment, and interact with user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and amateur videos.

In addition to being useful for meeting new people, video networking is an interesting way to stay in touch with people you already know. As adoption of online video grows at break-neck pace (and video sharing grows right along with it) it's interesting to watch as traditional social media players adapt to allow video upload.

It wasn't too long ago that Facebook added it's video upload feature.

If this sounds interesting to you and you would like to ride the growing trend of online video, consider creating a YouTube channel. Many are intimidated by this idea, thinking that they have to become video producers. Ideally, you should contribute your own content, but it's not a requirement.

Just tag videos that you like and use the commenting forums and personal message features to build your network.

If you would like to learn more about social networking, consider becoming a GBTC member (if you're not already). Social networking is one of the most frequently discussed topics at some events.
