The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council energizes and propels the advancement of technologies with the exchange of ideas, expertise and business and partnership opportunities. With more than 230 members, the CRTC is a resource for visibility, connections, knowledge and education for technology companies in and around the community in the Annapolis-Washington-Baltimore region.
Northeastern Maryland Technology Council (NMTC)

The NMTC represents 80 high-tech organizations in Harford and Cecil counties, including approximately 150 business executives, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) lab personnel, leaders in state and local government, and retired senior managers of area companies and government laboratories.
NMTC events center around the group’s monthly meetings. One of the organization’s goals is to help make the area an exceptional environment for technology transfer, involving APG and the new Higher Education Applied Technology (HEAT) Center.

The Technology Council of Maryland, founded in 1986, is a non-profit consortium of technology firms, federal labs, education institutions and business support firms, collectively forming the Maryland tech community. Members represent thousands of knowledge-based employees in the state and surrounding National Capital region. Ranging from large corporations, such as Lockheed Martin, to small companies with two to three employees, TCM members represent diverse industry sectors, including IT, bioscience, telecom, aerospace, electronics, and engineering. The Council's primary objectives include unparalleled business development tools, advocacy initiatives, and entrepreneurial and networking opportunities.
Carroll Technology Council

Founded as an organization with the intention to prepare Carroll County for the future, the Carroll Technology Council became an independent non-profit organization in January, 2004. It was originally created in 2001 by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Since its inception, the Carroll Technology Council has developed many new programs that benefit the County. These programs are available to all who inquire.
Capable of handling information requests and dissemination of answers, the Council works closely with local media, such as newspapers, local television and its own publications to reach out and help the community.
Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC)

The City of Baltimore Development Corporation (BDC) is a non-profit, non-stock corporation under contract to the City of Baltimore to act as its economic development agent. BDC is responsible for the implementation of citywide projects that foster the formation and location of new businesses, as well as the retention and growth of existing businesses.
A number of technology companies have benefited from the help of the BDC. Several technology incubators are supported and managed by the BDC. These include The Emerging Technology Center, an incubator for new technology companies, and the Bard Life Sciences Center, which will nurture the city's biotech future.

The Maryland Software Industry Consortium is a group of Maryland information technology and software companies seeking excellence through continuous product, service, and organizational improvement. The Consortium enables individual companies to sharpen their competitive edge through focused strategic and tactical programs tailored for specific business needs. The Consortium provides its members access to the power, resources, and cost advantages of a large business base while sustaining the flexibility needed for individual stability and growth. The group's focus is on implementing those models that participating companies agree are important to improving their businesses.
Realizing that 80 percent of new job creation comes from existing businesses, the Department of Business and Economic Development devotes considerable effort and resources to the existing Maryland business base. The Software Industry Consortium is an example of that deep and continued support.
Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO)

The Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) was created by the State legislature in 1998. The mission of TEDCO is to foster the development of a technology economy that will create and sustain businesses throughout all regions in the State of Maryland.
Goals:
To serve as the focal point for technology leadership in Maryland.
To enhance the transfer of technology from universities and federal laboratories to the private sector
To foster the growth of innovative companies, in critical or high growth sectors
To extend the benefits of technology to communities, companies, and citizens across all regions of the State
Downtown Partnership of Baltimore

Downtown Partnership of Baltimore, Inc. is a dynamic nonprofit corporation dedicated to making Downtown Baltimore a great place to invest, work, live and play. As a leading advocate for Downtown, they work in partnership with business and government to identify needs, develop strategies, shape public policy and implement programs to strengthen the economic vitality of Downtown and its role within the region.
Downtown Partnership works on the local companies' behalf to make Downtown Baltimore a better place for business, employees and clients.
Economic Alliance of Baltimore

The Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore is the sole public/private partnership that brings together business, government and educational institutions to attract new business and investment to the Greater Baltimore region. Tasked with marketing the region and generating business deals, the Economic Alliance accomplishes these through a combination of business development and marketing initiatives.
Biosciences in Greater Baltimore - Download Report
The first of its kind for the region, this report provides a comprehensive overview of Greater Baltimore's assets and position in the US biosciences industry. Using interviews with bioscience leaders and extensive data and published documents, the report findings reveal Greater Baltimore's strong standing as a highly educated region, rich in research and discovery, as well as opportunities for improvement. The importance of the region's growing interaction with the neighboring Greater Washington market and the Northeast US corridor is also emphasized.
